Seafood Extravaganza - OvenBird + Tarpon Cellars

For a night that honored the harmony of food and wine, OvenBird Restaurant and Tarpon Cellars partnered to host a Seafood Extravaganza. OvenBird Restaurant is one of the restaurants owned and operated by James Beard-award winning chef Chris Hastings. OvenBird is a celebration both of local ingredients and of live-fire cooking. The restaurant, which has a gorgeous, sun-lit patio, is a favorite of local Alabamians and has earned coverage from papers like the New York Times. Tarpon Cellars, a California winery with Southern roots, is a company based on the goal of marketing and producing wine in new ways. They focus on intimate connections with consumers and fun, non-intimidating venues for drinking wine and creating community. This event was a great celebration of both brands. The companies asked me to photograph the main plates from the evening, the paired wine, the chefs engaging with event attendees, and all of the moments in-between.
